Principal's Message

Welcome to LNES

My name is Mrs. Ewing and I am honored to be the principal of Laguna Niguel Elementary School!

I look forward to meeting and working with all of the students and families to carry on the strong tradition of academic achievement and excellence.  LNES is an incredible school, and I am thrilled to be joining the family.

My passion for education and supporting the success of all students has been shaped over the past 24 years, by serving in a variety of teaching and educational leadership positions. I have been a classroom teacher in both LAUSD and CUSD.  I taught at Las Palmas and San Juan Elementary School before becoming an instructional coach and providing district wide and site support for SVUSD.  I then followed my dream to become an administrator and served as Principal at Cielo Vista (SVUSD) for the past five years. In each of my roles, I have sought to ensure the success of each student and the school, by providing the best instructional and social-emotional development opportunities possible. I value the importance of offering every student an education that is both nurturing and challenging, and I will work with our outstanding staff to continue this effort.

I have been married to my wonderful husband of 23 years and I am the proud mother of three beautiful children who all attend CUSD: Zachary (11th grade), Spencer (9th) and Grace (7th). I understand the importance of a strong home-school connection and look forward to working alongside each of you to meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of all Laguna Niguel students.

My Academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development with a minor in Spanish from Cal State University Fullerton and a Master of Science degree in Education from the University of Southern California. I also possess a Multiple Subject Credential (USC) and a Clear Administrative Services Credential from Brandman College.

Laguna Niguel is an excellent school because of its teachers, staff, families, and students. I believe that providing our students with 21st Century skills, a safe and nurturing school environment, data driven instructional goals, and rigorous, engaging, differentiated lessons will be critical in preparing every student for college and career opportunities. It is with enthusiasm and pride that I look forward to getting to know you and your children and becoming a member of the Laguna Niguel family.  As Principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input and collaboration.

Warmest regards,

Beth Ewing, Principal
